Examinations
We offer the opportunity to take British Theatre examinations at our studio led by our qualified BTDA teachers. We have our major grades in Classical Ballet, Tap and Modern from Preparatory all the way to our vocational grades. We also have Crystal Awards for our Acro, Lyrical & Musical Theatre classes. We have Medal Test examinations for Street Dance & Contemporary classes and then our fabulous Rose Awards for our youngest students in Ballet & Acro. Although examinations are formal and they are a very important part of a young dancers life examinations with BTDA are friendly, positive and encouraging. Over all the years we have had children take examinations with British Theatre we have only ever had positive experiences and 100% pass rates.

Do I move up after my exam?
For graded examinations - yes! Once you have taken your exam your next class will be the next grade up. This will mean a change of time and possible change of day. For Rose awards, Crystals and Medals - no. You don't need to change just yet - dancers are assessed on level to move up. You will be told when your child is ready by your teacher.
